REACT recommended and supported by UK P&I Club

REACT’s maritime fire safety training is recommended and supported by UK P&I Club to help shipowners, crews, and shore-based teams better prepare for modern fire risks. The program focuses on practical training, expert support, and effective emergency response when every minute counts.

REACT is recommended and supported by UK P&I Club to strengthen maritime fire safety

Fire safety on board vessels is more relevant than ever. New cargo flows, increasingly complex supply chains, and the rise of modern risks, such as lithium-ion batteries and difficult-to-predict cargo incidents require practical knowledge, fast decision-making, and well-trained crews. That is why REACT’s maritime fire safety training is recommended and supported by UK P&I Club, one of the leading players in maritime insurance and risk management.

With this recommendation and support, REACT helps shipowners, crews, and shore-based organizations better prepare for fire incidents on board. The focus is on realistic training, practical application, and support in situations where every minute counts.

Practical knowledge from real incidents

REACT brings years of experience in incident response, fire safety, and emergency response. This practical knowledge forms the foundation for training that goes beyond theory alone. Crews learn not only what the procedures are, but also how to recognize fire risks at an early stage, realistically assess situations, and make the right decisions under pressure.

UK P&I Club describes React Academy’s training as part of its modern fire Risks training, aimed at strengthening fire prevention, preparedness, and emergency response both on board and ashore. The training includes e-learning, workshops, onboard training, and remote support.

Training for both vessel and shore organization

An effective response to fire incidents does not stop with the crew on board. Technical managers, superintendents, DPAs, and HSQE/HSSE professionals also play an important role in preparation and support during an incident.

Within the React Container Ship Program, the focus is therefore on a broad target group: container ship crews, technical shore teams, superintendents, DPAs, and safety professionals. Participants learn, among other things, how to identify fire hazards at an early stage, understand fire development, and make decisions based on a clear and practical structure.

Support when it really matters

An important part of the program is the availability of expert remote support. During fire incidents, rapid access to specialists can make the difference between control and escalation.

According to UK P&I Club, the program also includes 24/7 Remote Assistance from React Emergency Response. This gives crews direct access to experienced fire specialists and marine chemists who can provide remote support during a fire response.

Working together for a safer maritime sector

The recommendation and support from UK P&I Club highlight the importance of knowledge sharing and practical training within the maritime sector. Fire risks are becoming more complex, but with the right preparation, organizations can significantly strengthen their resilience.

For REACT, this support is an important step in making specialist fire safety knowledge more widely available to the international shipping industry. For members of UK P&I Club, the program provides access to training and support that directly reflects the reality on board.

Together, REACT and UK P&I Club contribute to one shared goal: a safer, better prepared, and more resilient maritime sector.
